Marek Kusiba is a Polish and Canadian poet, a columnist for “Polish Dialy News” and a reporter. He is an author of many volumes of poetry: Tratwa (1975), Wszystkie działa na mnie (1983), Samobójstwo Marsjan (1987),Rozwiązać siebie (1994), Inne powody (2005),Admiral Road (2006). He is also a translator of Ryszard Kapuściński’s poetry and reports (I Wrote Stone. The Selected Poetry of Ryszard Kapuściński, 2007) and has published Janusz Żurakowski’s biography entitled From Avro Arrow to Arrow Drive (2003). His poetry focuses on problems of emigration, “otherness,” cultural belonging and existentialism. Recently he has published Podręcznik do kobiet and a poetical book entitled Alassio. Marek Kusiba has lived in Toronto since 1984.
